Hi Folks,
Our car is due for its ITV next month, April, last time it was done they drove it through, but realise they won't do that this time, I had it done at Torreveijia ITV centre, which I think is closest to me here in Quesada, I am not to good at Spanish, do you think there will be any English speaking inspectors there, or can anyone recommend a garage who can take it for me to have it done and what is a fair price to do this....Many Thanks.

Take it to Benejuzar just past the hospital the testers speak English and so does the receptionist to book you in, I had mine done there in December no need for an interpreter. You drive the car through and the testers tell you what to do.

Never been to Torrevieja ITV myself but have been told by many people to steer clear!

I’ve used ITV in San Bartolme for my last two tests, it’s only 20 minutes from Torrevieja. You can book online (www.tuitv.es) just rock up at the centre, no appointment required.

It’s always fairly quiet, the reception staff speak good English and the inspectors will help you with instructions at each stage or even take your car through for you if you’re unsure.

The centre is on the roundabout very close to the Vega Baja hospital.

I've been going there since 2012. Never had an issue with communicating with reception or the guys doing the inspection. Spot on. Best thing to do is when you get called forward to the inspection bay is to use a basic "Senor, Por favor, Soy Ingles y no hablo mucho Espanol (Excuse the diction). Its not much of an effort. They know then to speak to you in English and its not a problem for them. If your Spanish is very limited as is mine, a little goes a long way.

I went to the st Bart one last week, apologized no habla Espanol, and the tester said no problem. But I have to say that with his mask on and accent, it was very difficult to understand any of his requests. I’d get some else to do it next time!
