So are you saying your scared of taking a driving test in Spain?
If so your actually questioning your own driving ability.
Yes it is easier if you can just exchange your licence, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker if you really want to live in Spain as long as you believe your driving is up to scratch.

You only have to agree never to use indicators to pass the driving test

What significant effect would that be?

No one ‘made it up’, it is the consequence of an event that took place on 23 June 2016.

And yet if you are from a certain group of immigrants that like scarves very much in parts of Europe (not exactly sure how many) but know of some for certain, you can drive for a year WITHOUT a LICENCE....... including driving through European countries who may not have this rule in place as there is an exempt document given to the driver. As for being competent with driving (as mentioned above somewhere) I am not sure about anyone else but having been driving since I was 18, now 64 I would imagine a fail would be easy to get, indicators or not.

Same here, some oblique reference to illegal immigrants perhaps?
