Somport tunnel

I am due to drive from Quesada to Calais next week via the Somport tunnel. Has anyone been through it recently and were there any road closures, roadworks or delays.

Came through last week, yes road works are ongoing, it’s a massive new road layout they are creating. But, no issues noted, no problems at all, straight through, no one at the border crossing either, straight through. Happy travels.

The A23 ,which starts near Sagunto,has been under construction for several years and is now open almost all the way to Jaca.The final pieces are being currently worked on and you may be delayed slightly on the Spanish side.The French side could be a bit of a trail.It's hard work dragging 40 tons of lorry up to the tunnel.An alternative would be to travel from Pau to Sabinanigo via Laruns.Very scenic but no tunnel and about the same travel time.
