Looking to obtain a toll tag for driving up to UK. Can anyone recommend any company and ease of use and any plusses and minuses associated with the use or purchase of. I am in Quesada and trying to log on to different companies, some Uk based who require a UK address, whereas some European companies require a French address. All very confusing. Thanks in anticipation.

We have just used Ulys - we used our Spanish Bank Ac for payment - we do have a UK address though, but I think there was an option to use an address from different countries

I don’t know about toll tags, but have you considered not using tolls at all. In my experience, from Quesada region to Calais, the cost is approx 190euro just one way, and saves only approx 4 hours off the journey, approx 45euro an hour. I know I’m tight, but for me is way too expensive. Also toll roads are longer to sweep around villages and towns, so perhaps surprisingly, we use more fuel than none toll roads too. Given that the journey is long enough for overnight anyway, the extra costs verses the time saving just isn’t worth it. We’ve used none-toll roads ever since.

Entirely up to you of course, just sharing my findings. Happy travels.

I don't use toll roads in Spain.Occasionally i may use some in France.I remember from years ago, rather like the UK,where some of the pre motorway national roads are perfectly good and convenient. The problem is that other national roads can be a bind with more traffic and numerous villages and towns.Speed limits are lower and largely respected in rural France.Time is rarely an element for me but i do get bored when stuck in a convoy.

Our son’s friend lent him one when he drove down last week. It only worked in France and not in Spain. So you may need to get one for each country. Have always paid with cash or card in France and Spain. The time lost paying at the booth is negligible to driving straight through and you don’t have to pay for registration or fees or whatever they charge for the tag.

There is no discount for using cards. You pay for the convenience of not stopping or joining queues at the peages. My French tag covers only France but the spanish tag covers Portugal too.

Most we’ve ever had in a queue was 3 anywhere, passed through quickly unless stuck behind somebody who can’t find their card, change or stopped too far out and has to backup or get out. Been longer when stopped by police or border control after the booth for a check of some sort.
