UK registered cars after April 1st - a question

Interesting Point Raised in another forum - a question on it

- there will be some EU citizens (e.g. Republic of Ireland) who may well be driving UK registered cars for up to 6 months on Spanish roads (UK taxed and properly insured etc.) - does anyone anticipate or know of problems with that scenario?

Yep, an Irish citizen, resident in Britain, complete with an Irish passport, driving on a UK driver's license in a British registered and insured car, might cause Pedro Plod to scratch his head.

Pedro plod might just have Grua take it to the pound and leave paddy with a big lawyer bill to resolve problem

Seems to be a potential problem for Brits driving UK licensed cars. Some sensible replies are welcome.

If your legal surely no problem ie ferry tunnel tickets with dates, or maybe an ask on n332 police site
