i know used car prices in Spain are very high, but I was wondering if anyone knows the situation when you are selling your car, for instance in p/x.

For part exchange it's negotiate negotiate negotiate and try more than one dealer. We did well at one time when the government gave you an extra few thousand because it was over 10 years old

Seems the same all over, your part exchange is a sharp intake of breath and a silly price, the one you may be buying costs a fortune and is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Try dealers away from the coast usually a better deal.

Have been offered a price by Kia to part exchange but selling privately is usually. Better option but how can I find a fair value for our car if we want to sell , looked on sales site but not sure as the prices are less thAn we were offered so doesn’t seem correct. But maybe Kia are really just offering us a really good deal??

There is an excellent magazine for second hand cars called Autofacil V.O. which I believe comes out in Jan. each year so the new one should be available now. It covers all makes and models of cars that are available in Spain. It gives both the sale and purchase price which is very useful when you want to exchange with a garage. It also takes into account what month of the year it was purchased in and the mileage. You can therefore calculate a more accurate value. The problem may be that it only goes back about 8 years but if your car is older you could work out how much the value has gone down in previous years and therefore come up with a value.
The attached one is from last year.
The problem is that I do not have 'add attachments' at the bottom of the page to add it

I have just found out why I could not attach the picture. I was using quick reply which I always do but realised I need to use post reply.

Hopefully it will attach to this.
Apparently the extension PDF is not allowed !
But JPEG is !
