When to buy a nearly new car
When to buy a nearly new car
by JillP » Mon Aug 06, 2018 9:50 am
Does anyone know if there’s a good time to buy a nearly new car?
We were wondering if there’s a certain time of year when they either have good deals, or perhaps clear out old stock. Or even whether holiday season makes a difference. We’re looking at something like an Opel Mokka - so a potential saving of a couple of grand is worth having.

From what ive seen, main dealers only sell new cars.
It appears that trade-ins are offloaded to secondhand dealers. Some of these have ‘respectable’ premises however, many resemble Arthur Daly on a bomb site, with the only difference being the absence of a sheepskin coat.
I think you’ll find the only deals are offered by new car dealers. Occasionally a ‘lemon’ might be offloaded cheap by Arthur or Terry

Thanks Terry
Most of the Dealers seem to have an ‘ocasion’ section on their websites - just wondering whether there are hot spot times of year to watch out for. Cheers

I bought my car from nissan dealer direct in torrevieja
It was 6 months old, basically dealer registered and light use, had done 3000 kms. Was over 3k cheaper than brand new
Great after sales service and i am still over the moon with it
Pop in and see what they have available

Big adverts on the hoardings for a Crossover vehicle offering 6000 euros discount may be a Kia
It was the Nissan Dealers advert not Kia

It might help to search on
coches.net
It’s much like Autotrader and has used cars from all over Spain.
It’s easy to see how Alicante is expensive for the cheap small car...!!
Garage prices will have 21% IVA added to the price shown!
