7th, 9th & 12th are all bank holidays and here are the events that will be happening:-

Wednesday 7th - Virgen del Rosario

9.00 Firing of rockets & ringing of church bell
10.00 Santa Cecilia band marching round streets
12.00 Mass
13.00 Firing of rockets & ringing of church bell
20.45 Santa Cecilia band marching round streets
21.30 Fireworks

Friday 9th - Valencia day

9.00 Firing of rockets
10.00 La Lira band marching round streets
13.00 Firing of rockets

Monday 12th - Spain Day

9.00 Firing of rockets
10.00 La Lira band marching round streets
13.00 Firing of rockets

Is the 7th just a local holiday as I have an appointment in ALicante that day

Yes, it he virgin of the rosary is the patron of Rojales and is in her honour.

Weren’t we advised earlier that all fiestas etc for this year had been canceled ?

Yes & generally there would have been a whole week of events - ribbon race, kids bull run, bouncy castles etc., - which have all been cancelled.
But these few events planned do fit in with the virus restrictions. Anyone attending anything has to wear a mask, cleanse their hands and socially distance.
