Making friends

Postby Loopyloo » Wed Sep 19, 2018 11:02 pm

Hi, we’ve recently moved here from uk. I have twins that are in need of some friends and socialising, as I am I to be honest. They’re 8 years old, a boy and a girl & are Not in school yet. I have no idea where to take them, I do drive. Anyone know any clubs they could join? Like football, crafts, dance, etc, anything social really. Or even play areas where we could all make friends.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

Hi. Welcome to Spain. I guess it can be daunting to find your way initially but I can assure you, you will find it and you'll be happy!

I am a pensioner so I don't have any experience of children's activities in Spain, but my advice would be to get them enrolled in school asap and you can bet you'll meet other mums on the way in and out of school!

There are Sports Clubs. Ask in the Town Hall what's Local to you. I've seen children learning Tennis in Guardamar Sports Centre. If your Children don't know any Spanish teach them to say " I am ----" if spoken to by children of other Nationalities. Although a lot may know some English. There always seems to be a lot a events where children join in. Just keep an eye out for any events. They look fun.

Hi

We live in Algorfa and currently home school. We have two boys age 6 and 7.Ben and TJ.We recently lost some friends that also home schooled, as they returned to the UK.We have made friends with a family that has a 10 year old girl and we meet up each week to go to the beach and swimming pool. They play together and its great for the kids.We are currently in UK getting our house ready to rent out but come back next Sunday. We know loads of places to take kids and things to do so maybe we can meet up and take it from there. The more friends the better for the kids.

Email or PM for contact details

Regards
