Alicante Airport Transfers 2014

Postby Jan » Wed Feb 05, 2014 11:33 pm

There is a link below to the latest timetable for the bus that runs from Alicante airport to Torrevieja. It is run by the Costa Azul bus company (Grupo Costa Azul). Please check with the bus company for the dates of when it runs.

It also stops at various places along the coastal route to Torrevieja, including Altet, Santa Pola, La Marina and Guardamar:

There is also an express service run by the same company, from Torrevieja to Alicante airport and back, with no stops on route: Here's the link to the timetable for that too:

Just a quick add on to the above - Has anyone used these airport buses? Do they run all year round or what months do they run from and to? What are they like?
I had a quick look on the website but couldn't find any actual information for 2014. I could have missed it and it may be on there somewhere but if anyone knows that would be great.

Thanks.

As this hasn't been updated I assume it must be still correct.

My friend has been using the airport bus regularly, she's very happy to recommend them.

Thanks, that's the same link as I put above in this topic and, like you, I am assuming that it's up to date as it's from the official website.

Thanks for the recommendation, it's good to know.

Oops..didn't check, just thought the web-links looked the same.

Anyway now we have two - Will look at them later, when I have more time, to see what the difference is.

For a private door-to-door transfer service, we always use www.costa-blanca-transfers.com never had a problem, always on-time and value for money.
They provide transfers from both Alicante airport & Murcia Airport.

I was told by a neighbour that has used the service that you have to get a bus from the airport to Alicante then the bus from Alicante to the various stops mentioned.

As far as I know, that's how it used to be but now you can get the bus straight from the airport, unless that's just the express bus that goes straight to and from Torrevieja without stopping (?). We even worked out which bus stop to wait at, last time we were there.

Maybe someone else can confirm this for us.

Yes please Dot as there is some confusion over whether it's just the express service to Torrevieja that goes from the airport or if both the Express and the bus that does the stops at towns along the coastal route that go from Alicante Airport.

For anyone who wants to know - To find the bus stop - Come out of Arrivals go up one floor (I think it's the 2nd floor) and come out of the airport building, turn right and the bus stop is at the end of this road - You can't miss it (famous last words! )

I will take a photo of the bus stop, if I have time, next time we get to the airport.
