Flight luggage

hi I am flying out with Ryanair and have booked and paid for luggage in the hold. Has anyone bought out to Spain anything other than a suitcase? Eg, a large package wrapped well in brown paper and marked fragile. It is under the 15kg weight restriction but I am hoping it will be acceptable. Any other experiences?

We did years ago but not with Ryan Air. I would email them to confirm as then you would know for sure. I would pack with lots of bubble wrap too under the outer wrapping as no doubt they could be thrown around a bit. We brought over a few items in the early days but they were new and in their original shop bought wrapping with polystyrene inside and cardboard boxing outside and they were ok.

I have used couriers on two occasions just timed them with our holidays

I noticed the other day that The Post Box, round the corner from Gama, can receive parcels . Dont know if they can keep them until you arrive in Spain. If its any use I will ask on your behalf-just let me know.

What will you do if Ryanair wont accept your package?

We came back with Ryanair two weeks ago.My husband brought a golf club weighing 1.6 kilos & yes we did have to pay as if we were checking in a case,20 euros.All fine when we picked it up at Alicante.
