Who was your booking with?

We always have to pay more from London, Gatwick than the Northern airports. I check out various airlines but generally use Monarch. Also we always book daytime flights and no early mornings or late evenings, so it does make it more expensive.

Just paid 81.18 return for myself. That's with jet2 with just hand luggage however you do get 10kg. It's for April flight.
They have a 10per cent discount on flights for April, May and June, so quite pleased in all.
This will be my first trip on my own so only for six days.

From Newcastle we have the choice of Jet2 to Alicante or Mercia, in the summer, and Easy Jet. Depends when you book, when you're flying and whether you have hold baggage as to which is the most cost effective.

Jet2 only run from May to murcia, however we also now looking at July and August
And going to murcia is a bit more expensive.
How much hand luggage do you get with easy jet? Thought it was only about 5 kg?
Hopefully soon won't need to take anything so no hold luggage

^^^ There is no restriction on the hand luggage weight as long as you can lift it into the overhead locker. They do stipulate hand baggage dimensions, which from memory is 56 x 45 x 25cm but they say they can not guarantee that this will travel with you in the plane if the plane is full. However if you bring a bag that is 50 x 40 x 20cm it WILL travel in the plane with you.

We have always taken the bigger bag size so far and there has never been a problem.
