Now, not because of Ryanair but because of those who think the rules do not apply to them, many people will suffer, in having to wait at the carousel for their baggage.
Why can´t people show a bit of self discipline?
I´ve watched all sorts of nonsense, people boarding the plane and putting their bags in overheads at the front of the aircraft, even though they are sitting many rows back. Couples occupying the window and aisle seats to try and deter people from sitting in their row (prior to seat allocation) etc.
Don´t blame Ryanair, blame the "do as you likeys".

Dead right BB.

In all fairness - this is not the passengers fault - if Ryanair weren't so greedy charging an extortionate fee way to check in a case then passengers would have been less likely to cram their essentials into a cabin case - but as there is only space for 90 cases/bags in the overhead lockers and there are over 150 passengers it doesn't take a genius to fathom the ensuing problem! I'm glad to see they will reduce the check in fee......but of course not immediately - not 'til Nov 1st

I guess they're relying on 90 or less passengers purchasing Priority Boarding (which was discounted yesterday at £2.50 per person, and seat booking at £3 too!).

Don't believe everything you read. I booked a Ryanair flight last night and despite advertising seats at £3.00 only one actually existed. They actually vary depending where you sit and whether the seat next to you is already booked. Those seats on an aisle are more expensive than a window and those in the window/ middle are more expensive. The only £3.00seat was a window seat where the middle/ aisle seats were already booked. Obviously the extra leg room and priority were yet more expensive. I am talking the economy seats towards the rear.

This new system begs the question: If I choose to go non-priority boarding & accept that my cabin luggage will be taken from me at the boarding gate & placed in the hold...can I now carry liquids/sharps in that bag as it will not be in my possession during the flight & how will I get it past security?

I booked from Manchester, and all seats from row 24 back were £3...aisle, middle and window. Rows 18 to 23 were £6.

You won't get past security in the first place.
