Rental car at Alicante Airport

Hello Jan we have been trying to get our heads round this too.
But in any case we have today taken out the same insurance as you have discussed
I am sure that once we go and see a couple of local hire companies
In quesada it will be a bit clearer, we will be there Sunday with a view to hiring about Wednesday.

Whatever the confusion with hiring cars, and I think half the problem is probably the hire companies all wanting their prices to 'appear' the cheapest, it's got to be better to have the added private insurance anyway for some peace of mind and at £39.99 a year it's a pretty good price.

Be good to know how you get on and what the hire company says is included in their price.

I'd just like to add that I have had an annual European policy with insurance4carhire for several years, and the premium has actually come DOWN, fro GBP49 to 39, despite my having made one claim (GBP172 for a new windscreen) about 7yrs ago. (I only rent in UK, normally)
The claim processing was a bit slow, but I got all my money eventually, so am a satisfied customer
