Ryanair cancelled flights

Postby Slater39 » Thu May 21, 2020 4:43 pm

Hi. My daughter has booked to come to quesada at the end of june this has been booked long before the virus. They have cancelled the flight going back home but not the flights coming out, when she's looked to change her flights its only letting her move the cancelled one not the one coming out they were booked together as one booking. Does anyone else have this problem and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Log onto their chat line (it can take some time for an agent to reply but be patient). Tell them the situation & what you want to do. They should help you to transfer both flights if they were made under the same booking reference.

However much RA might be wishing and hoping to be resuming flights at or by the end of June if for no other reason than the virtual impossibility of ensuring social distancing in airports and on planes I believe the chances of it happening are at best slim which makes time spent trying to rearrange a return futile.

Cancelling a return is a clever if not devious ploy because it pretty much forces customers to stick with an outbound booking for fear of losing their money if they themselves cancel it.

As unappealing as it might be I think the only safe and sensible strategy is to forget about flying to Spain until there is some sort of official bi-lateral or pan European agreement on the terms on which mass flying can resume as it's only with that any airline can schedule a flight with any degree of certainty that it will actually operate.

It's in Spains interest to get tourism going again so there is no reason to think that they would want to delay that any longer than absolutely necessary.

We have had 2 lots of flights cancelled the going out ones first then a few days later the return flight ...they tend to cancel them 2 weeks before the flights.
