Christian's Garden Centre - CV895 - Lemon tree road

Christian's Garden Centre - CV895 - Lemon tree road

Postby Jan » Sat Jun 07, 2014 12:45 pm

Jardineria Christian's Garden Centre is quite easy to find as it's on the CV895 Lemon Tree road, going towards Guardamar on the left hand side, after the Manolos restaurant speed humps. Christians is the second garden centre along there on the left (not the first one). It is a very large garden centre with a good range of garden plants and ornaments.

It is clearly sign-posted on the CV895 Lemon tree road - see the map below

Hi....does anybody know if Christian's garden centre is actually still open? Having used them many times over the last seven years, we were very surprised when we visited them again at Easter. The place looked like it was about to close down....with very little of anything in stock, and what was left was all reduced. It seemed too much had gone rather than just a small clear out ready for new stock. We did hear a rumour that they had lost a large council contract....and heard another rumour that due to a lack of winter rain, many garden centres were struggling to pay water bills.
Wonder if anyone can advise to the contrary.
Cheers.....Paul.

Hi went last Saturday certainly didn't look like it was closing, fairly well stocked we have noticed in the past that they seem to get loads in then it dwindles for a while, they had just had some deliveries of planters and Gardena products.

Cheers

We have used this place previously but went a few weeks ago & was quite disappointed...infact the stock looked far from healthy ! very low on the usual stuff like the pots etc but I see from an above post they have opened a shop!
We very often go to the nursery on the way to Los montesinos on the right hand side as you come off the roundabout, another nice one is Naturana, very helpful staff :)

Is there anywhere close to Torreta Florida that sells artificial plants (at a reasonable price?) - does Carrefour stock this? or the Chinese emporium beside Lidl?

Most large Chinese Bazaar stores sell these. The Quesada Market Chinese Bazaar behind Consum in Doña Pepa has loads. Also the markets usually have them and Rojales market always seems to have a stall selling them.
