Hello can anyone help me with my favourite plant I got a Bird of Paradise approximately 18months ago which is in a large pot. The problem I am having is that all the new leaves keep going black on the edges. I have tried fertilizer, and various watering periods with no success any help would be gratefully appreciated. Please see attached pictures Kind Regards

I've had two of these for years and that's all they ever do. Had them in pots for a couple of years then put them in the garden, made no differance, never flowered! Followed all the advice from the garden centre but still no flowers. :(

These plants like to be snug in a slighly smallish pot. We get about 9 blooms at a time on ours. Perhaps putting it in the open ground is a mistake, until really established and in danger of breaking open the pot. Hope this helps.

There is a Facebook page called Spanish Garden Info, maybe you could ask your question on there ?

We got ours in February from Christians Garden Centre on Lemon Tree Road just past El Raso. Good sized plant for about €26.

My parents have them in the garden and they are all coming out in bloom now, they certainly haven't got green fingers and don't give them any treatment, they are thriving and just seem to multiply year after year. Perhaps you are killing them with love?
