I've found the Gel works really well - you should be able to get it at your local Ferreteria, or Leroy/Merlin/Alcampo if you're ever near Zenia Boulevard. We still have the occasional one or two, but 10+ like we used to.

ive just come home from work, and whilst I was out side one appeared on my wall right near my door, I was terrified. after about 10 minutes it decided to move closer to my door. no way is that thing going in my house, so I (from a distance) managed to push my door grill, which made it move away (thank god) I then ran in the house and got my can of raid max and sprayed the bugger. think it is lying outside my door right now dead. Thankfully I have never had one in the house. I would die. I have 2 plug in's from the uk. (spider deterrants and cockroach ones) I also have corks in any hole that it will fit in. ie sinks and b days, i also put something over the shower plug hole every time I finish using it. I spray more than I should really in the house, and spray round all my doors and windows. I think im lucky, or everything I have in place is working. I am seriously considering stopping smoking, so I don't need to go out when they are around :text-lol:

We have been over for six weeks and kept finding the pesky things 1 or 2every morning couldn't understand where they were getting in as had done all the usual.anyway hubby decided to have a look at the drain outside our property and there was a nest with about 50or so all shapes and sizes !!!
He sprayed them all and for the next couple of days kept spraying the drain killed all of them and for the moment we have got rid of them. So would advise all to spray the drains round your property.not very nice but it does kill them off. Hope this helps

Overheard an old lady saying she puts some oil in the toilet at night apparently they swim and come up from the drains and the oil stops them climbing out as they can't get enough purchase to crawl

By Oil I mean olive oil.

Might be a daft idea but interesting if it works.
