How often should you water geraniums in a tub?

How often should you water geraniums in a tub?

I buy them every year and for a few weeks they look great. Then they either dont flower again or they get bugs.

Any advice would be appreciated.

We haven't been very successful either..the ones we planted last year were attacked by the Black Moth..Obviously a favourite with these damn things!!lol
Good luck...there are some beautiful colours available & they add such nice colour to the garden!

Geraniums and Pelargoniums do not like the water on their leaves, so water into the soil, not over the top. Let them dry out a bit between watering, but not to the extent that the soil is like a rock!

Watch out for the geranium moth You can buy an insecticide in the nurseries here. Someone told me that Bayer make a product called Decis, which is cheaper than the stuff specifically labelled for geranium moths, but contains the same ingredients. I haven´t tried to buy it though, because I had the other stuff!
