That's what you call out of control, looking at the shadow cast it wont be long before it obstructs the light to your property. if she cannot see that the bush is growing out of control then I would honestly spray everything my side with a very strong solution of weedkiller. :evil: :evil: :evil:.

Removal will not take place but have managed to get action to trim back,they have trimmed back but same will happen in 5 years time

Is it possible the roots could damage the foundations of the property's?

I have also pursed the avenue of the roots damaging property boundarys, if anything does occur then the community whose property has the tree would be liable through any insurance claims.

I do sympathise, every time we come over we have next doors bushes growing wild over our paths both front and back. it's infuriating, we spend our first days gardening and chopping back and none of it is ours, mostly we take it to the skips but lately we chuck it over, we have asked the neighbours politely and they don't keep them tidy. On our last visit I'm afraid our weed killer might have blown into their garden, we'll see on our next visit. It is a problem.
