Not wishing to be flippant, but there`s a good joke somewhere in that post.

I guess the more sensible approach would have been to ask her first, about cutting it back and then deposit the cuttings at the tip/bin(depending on if you get a collection) Our neighbours have a huge ficus tree that grows over our carport, but I cut it back regularly from our side.(after first asking them in the beginning)I never offer them the cuttings though LOL that would be a bit weird! They would probably think you were being rude.

your side is your property but dispose of the rubbish yourself, no wonder she went bonkers.if you'd have disposed of the rubbish yourself you wouldn't even have this issue

The cuttings are still her property hobgoblin so it is possible they must be returned to her just like in Britain. I don't know what the Spanish law is on this.

but you ain't in britain.where's the big deal with putting the cuttings in the bin yourself.
she can't stop you cutting the overhang in your garden but putting the cuttings in her garden is taking the mick in my opinion

Suppose you don´t like gardening? I don´t. I have a low maintenance garden, laid to patio with Geranium pots and I don´t want to be cutting bouganvilla back from my neighbour on one side and oleander on the other.
They want a garden but they don´t want to do gardening, that´s not fair.
So, enough is enough. I´ve asked them to sort it on a regular basis, if they don´t I´ll hack all that´s overhanging my garden and chuck it into their gardens and THEY can dispose of it.
