Rats infestation in our yucca trees and in our garage

Help please. Discovered today why so many branches were falling off our Palm/yucca trees. We thought it was birds eating a bit of the branches and then they fell down. Saw a rat in our garage today, then this afternoon, when I heard a noise up the palm (I think they are yucca) trees saw 2 rats above my head. Is this dealt with by Torrevieja town hall or do we need to get private pest control contractors in. We have a dog so cannot just put bait down. Even if we manage to poison them, there is still the risk of our dog getting hold of them.
Any suggestions for pest control companies urgently!!!

Hi, We had rats when we moved into our property - the estate agents sent out: Unblock A Rod - 966 720 109 - They use rat traps so as safe for your pets - I had to do the same couldn't take the chance of pets picking up the poison or neighbouring cats either........ Highly recommend them

Were they expensive and depending on the number of bait traps I suppose. I have pestsrusspain coming on Thursday. Just to compare prices for the forum if you can remember.

I'm sorry but we didn't have to pay as we rent our property & it was just as we'd moved in - so don't know how much it cost.
