Tree stump

Tree stump

Postby mrchips » Wed Feb 24, 2016 8:07 am

Do any members know the best way to kill off a tree stump? I have been online and the advice is Epson salt or Rock salt. Don't know if Epson salt is available in Spain, I know that there are tons of Rock salt at the salt lakes but is it for sale to the general public. Any advice would be appreciated. I have been told diesel would do it but I am reluctant to try that because of the smell.
Thanks.

There was a product called" Rootout "in england , it killed the tree roots and helped break down the roots and stump, but without poisoning the ground. Not sure if you can get it here but would think there must be a product like it , ask at garden centres.

I killed a tree stump by drilling holes as close to the roots as possible and pouring ordinary bleach down the holes.

Yes I can second that about Jesus and Maria, they did a lot of work on a property for me as it was being prepared for rental, they did a good job at a fair price, were very polite and efficient he even removed a tree stump for me that others wouldn't even consider touching.
