Thank you for inviting me to the garden club to talk about wild flowers and a bit of background of my life here in Spain. The meeting was very well attended and it was a pleasure to share one of my great passions : My love of gardening, wildflowers and plants. I love 'digging up' - pun intended - quirky interesting and unusual facts about the plants that surround us and it is a joy to me when people start to look at the scrubland or campo with new eyes.

With this in mind by the end of February 2015 there will be marked routes of varying distances within the natural reserve that will start and finish at Casa la Pedrera with key points marked along the way with some of these interesting facts that I have uncovered. All are welcome there is no charge as long as you support our tea garden cafe with a cup of tea or similar which will cover costs of setting up and maintaining these routes etc. Along with beautiful flowers and landscape is an area teeming with birdlife, so all in all a great day out. Dogs are welcome too but are not allowed by the pool area.

Further to this I have been approached to reintroduce my popular wildflower meanders which will take place in April on Monday
20 & 27 at 11am and each Monday throughout May at the same time. Booking is essential and if you belong to a club or society you can arrange a day and time to suit your members, with or without lunch. Details can be found on my website and Facebook page. Jenni
