Adding to a property

Hi folks we extended our property almost two years ago by converting an existing storage facility into a bedroom. The extension has all of the correct approvals as far as we know. We have now been waiting over a year for the solicitor to get the deeds changed to reflect the additional living space. Has anyone else been down this route and succeeded in getting the deeds updated?
