Anybody got any tips for renting out my property in Quesada?

Hello all . I am in the process of buying a property in Quesada and hope to rent it out for enough weeks of the year to cover costs . Any tips you can give me on advertising , avoiding bad tenants etc would be very welcome . Thanks .

Hi,
I would use an agent but it's best to get recommendations first-hand, from people who rent out their properties. The Estate Agent you choose should be able to advise you of all the legalities and regulations on renting property. They would also deal with the advertising.

Renting out privately is risky - Some people are lucky and get good Tenants but obviously there are pitfalls.

A good reputable Agent should get references from any prospective Tenants and be able to put a legal contract in place to safeguard both the Owners & the Tenants interests. They take a percentage of the rent but this could be well worth the cost to, hopefully, avoid problems and to have someone to sort out any problems for you if they do arise, especially if you are not in Spain full-time.

There are a number of Estate Agents in Quesada and you could check them out to see how they work and if you would feel happy using them.

We have used OPI rentals in Quesada since 2007 and they do a good job to be fair.

When we first arrived here we rented. We found Hope properties. Maggie and Karen are brilliant, they are very thorough and professional. As tenants we found them extremely helpful, and I am sure anyone who uses them as an owner would not be disappointed with their service.
