Hot water boiler

We have a friend staying in our apartment and he has asked if it would be better to put the hot water boiler on for a hour before showering then turn off or leave it on 24 7 which is the cheepist option? Thanks sue

It would be cheaper to turn it off when not required.

We have ours set via a timer to take advantage of cheaper electricity.

We used to have ours on a timer at night when our electricity was cheap rate. We now have gas.

Thank u both. I will tell him to put on a night for an hour it's just for him showering.
