La Siesta- Thoughts

Postby jimmi » Mon May 07, 2018 5:28 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone have any thoughts or local knowledge on the area of La Siesta please. Looking for good/bad points, bus service, bars, restaurants etc, basically any info would be appreciated.

Thank all

We used to have a place near there in San Luis. There is a reasonable Bus Service. Every Half hour I think. You can get to Carrefor and Torrevieja where it's easy to get Buses to other places.
There are a choice of Restaurants. Spanish,Chinese and various others. Mercadona is in the Main Road before turning into the Urbanisations. It's right near La Mata Lake so ideal if you like walking or cycling. There is a Bowls Club as well. La Siesta comes under Torrevieja so if you get a Map of Torrevieja it will show you various areas and what's there. I nearly forgot the Clinic which is new since we were there. People used to have to travel to one. I can't think of any downside to living there. There are a good selection of Properties so have a look round.

Hi JanJan,

Thanks very much for the info. We're in the very early stages of looking for a property, quite like the idea of the reasonably central location of La Siesta.

Thanks

We live in El Chaparrel brilliant. El Chaparrel, La Siesta and San Luis have all run into one area and any of them have plenty of bars, restaurants etc., good bus service runs about every 30 - 40 minutes to Torrevieja where you can change to another bus if you want, beaches at Torrevieja. La Siesta has a good Centro de Salud [health service] would recommend it to anybody, brilliant, dont think you will be unhappy if you select this area to live in. Good luck,
