Lawyer or Advice Needed

Lawyer or Advice Needed

Postby Sorcha » Tue Oct 01, 2019 6:57 pm

Hello

We sold our villa in Quesada last year through Petra Honigs and are still waiting to receive the Retention fee they held back, and the Plus Valia.
We have asked repeatedly, but are constantly fobbed off.
We were notified by Luxma, via email, last October, that they were ready to deal with this but we had to produce a bank certificate. When next in Spain, we duly did this and handed it in to Honigs and were told it would be actioned immediately. Of course, nothing came of it.
We are in Spain again from Sunday and are wondering should we get a lawyer?
Any advice is much appreciated, as we previously sold a property in San Luis and never received any Plus Valia, being told by the estate agent's lawyer that she had never heard of such a thing!!!!
Many thanks

We sold our property in July 2018 and are still waiting for our retention to be returned, our solicitor says it is due to our town hall not stating how much the plusvalia is going to be.

We sold our property in May this year & we were paid out by our lawyer within 4 months for both although he said it can take up to 12 months or more. & it was Petra Honig who acted for the buyers.

Cheers Doug.

I have just received mine and I sold in June last year so it has taken well over the year so hopefully you will get yours sooner rather than later.
