Long Term Rental Rules

Postby polop » Sat Jul 04, 2020 1:30 pm

Hi, can anyone tell me if possible that if I rent my property out long term for say a period of 1 year can the tenant then ask for extension of rental up to 5 years, providing they are paying their rent this is allowed and you can not refuse.

If you enter into a long term residential rental contract with a tenant and it is for the tenants use as their only home then they will have the option to extend the contract by law, however, if you use a Seasonal rental contract you can specify the exact term of the contract but you will need to have a contract drawn up by a lawyer who has good knowledge of the rental law in Spain
