We have recently moved into a rented property, do we still have to apply for a Padron,

Yes, you should be on the padron. Go to town hall and they will help. Take original plus copies of passports, rental agreement, etc;

Have you residencia as I'm sure I saw in an earlier post for a padron you need to have residencia, I've looked but cannot find it.

We were on the Padron while we were renting waiting for our house to be built. This entitled us to a temporary SIP card at the time.

My wife and I were both on the padron for 2 years in both Pilar de la Horadada and then Rojales before becoming resident, end of story!!

In fact Darro, you CANNOT get residency UNLESS you are on the padron!!! Although I’d add that it’s possible this could have changed since Brexit.

Read my post.

I did not say that non residents could not sometimes sign on a padron or that it was not often demanded for residency applications but be that as it may in no way does it alter the fact that LEGALLY only residents are entitled, and BTW required, to be on a padron.
