Private Long Term Rental - Advice Pls

We have a two bed apartment that, given the current climes we will be unable to visit for the foreseeable future.
So to help us financially we are considering a long term let.
If anyone has any advice, pointers , legalities we need to follow or even just thoughts or opinions I’d be only to pleased to hear them. It’s a completely grey area for me and I can’t seem to find much info anywhere.

I thought that to rent your property you had to have a tourist licence which is a lengthy process
I found out yesterday that only applies to holiday lets and not long term lets
I am renting long term to gain residencia and i will send you a pm so you can chat to my agent for information ( im not sure if i can name them on here )
