Rental Advice.

We’ve recently bought another property are are looking at renting out the property we currently live in
Could anyone with any experience inform us of what and where we obtain the correct licenses etc to process.
Want to do it all legally and pay what we need to pay to ensure a smooth rental

You dont need a license for long term rental but you do for short term, my Solicitor did mine and took a good 12 Months.

Hi Ritchee.
Tap on the link below for full info. I am told by a friend who engaged a broker to get the certificates for him that it cost him €300 for the two. (The energy certificate and the residence certificate).
They’ll be taxing the air we breath soon
All the best.

You haven't said whether you are planning on long term or tourist rentals.
If it's tourist rentals this is a good outline of what you need to do. It's quite long-winded these days: https://www.spanishsolutions.net/blog/n ... community/
The previously posted link talks about the EPC for 'rentals' without being specific on which, but I think that is only a requirement for long-term rentals (and sales) - unless it's changed. There's less to do up front for long-term rentals, but that's up to you.
