Solarium

Solarium

Postby Angelaandstuart » Thu Dec 02, 2021 8:54 am

Hi, we are wanting to either re-tile or have sealant applied to our solarium as the existing tiles have a few cracks and the grout is showing it’s age. Anyone have an opinion on what is the best method to use? Relative costs etc?

If the existing tiles are securely fixed and you have sufficient clearance for doors & drains I would tile over the existing tiles with tiles of a different size.

I used to have a big glass solarium but all the water leaked out and my tropical fish died.

We sealed our solarium with a clear sealant bought from the ferreteria at Lo Marabu, took a couple of coats but it works and is a lot cheaper than re tileing.

Yes, I’m beginning to think the same way as the tiles are not too bad. Perhaps a regroup and then the sealant you used! Would you know what the stuff is called?

Hi Janeti

Do you know the name of the sealant for your solarium?

Many thanks.
