What % of Quesada properties are permanently occupied ?

So this is an interesting question that came up in a discussion today because some friends who currently live right on the coast in Orihuela Costa want to move because it is too quiet in the winter and too busy with seasonal visitors in the summer. Where they are there are a large proportion of properties that are holiday homes.
They are looking at moving into the Rojales/Quesada area where i think a large proportion of properties are occupied all year around but i cant back this up statistically, just what I think.

So, it got me thinking, does anyone know where i might find information like this, mainly out of curiosity ?.

I don't think statically there is anyway to tell. But if you were to drive around you can see where the pockets of full time vs holiday homes are.

I know where I am at the top of Cardiac Hill La Marquesa our road is a 50/50 mix, but my direct neighbours and opposite are all holiday homes. Somewhere like Dona Pepe (older style properties) seem more actively present and up by Coopers seems a busy Urb. New builds and apartments seem to have less occupancy vs terraced properties. Guess it depends what style they are looking for and the owners ages, villas near me overlooking the golf course are mainly 2nd home owners.

That said restaurants and the high street has got much busier last few weeks, really nice to see some life around.

Compared with Orihuela Costa, Villamartin and others, Rojales is an all year round town.
There are lots of permanent residents to make it like that but there are less in Quesada then those who have holiday homes. It is still busy throughout the Winter months but not so hectic.

Of course, the last couple of seasons have been far from the norm and very few of those with holiday homes could visit but the shops and bars/restaurants (when allowed to open) kept ticking over. Some have gone to the wall during the time they were forced to close (I think I counted 3 restaurants and 2 bars closing but probably more) but others are now taking their place.

I would say about 30% of the properties in our area are full timers but that is Dona Pepa which seems quite popular for that. Others maybe not so.

If next year is back to normal jogging, it does get very busy in the Summer months especially during school holidays. Scots coming out early from July, the rest of UK visitors from Aug/Sep but other nationalities at different times as they spread their holidays out (Netherlands, for example, have one third of schools off, then the next third and then the next which rotates each year).

Rojales itself is an all round town with a much greater percentage of Spanish living there.
You could normally find out the number of permanent residents by checking the amount on the padron but Rojales has allowed non residents to register as well so that doesn't give any clues.
