Golf Shop
Golf Shop
by Susan23 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 11:09 am
Hi, I have a holiday home in Quesada and I am learning to play golf in the UK. The plan is to merge the two and play golf in Quesada when on holiday. I don't want to keep taking my clubs back and forwards so looking for a reasonable set to leave in Spain - not too expensive but decent enough. Are there any golf shops in the area?

Hi Susan, if you want a reasonable set of ladies clubs you would probably find it much cheaper to buy a spare set in uk and bring them over to leave here (even taking into account the baggage fee.)
There are pro golf shops here close by in La Marquesa and La Finca as well as at Vistabella but they have only a small selection and all will be more expensive than if you bought in UK.You might be lucky and pick up a set second hand here through eg this forum but ladies clubs are harder to find and the chances of a decent graphite ladies set in the charity shops would be very small indeed. If you don't want to spend too much I would suggest have a look on ebay uk for a set of ladies clubs, you can often get a good barely used set of generic brand clubs for around £50/60 or less (sadly it would seem in the UK many ladies start golf and then give up quickly...so there are often full sets going begging on ebay.. ) Obviously if you want something like Callaway/Ping/Cleveland etc you would pay a lot more but I have previously got some fantastic bargains on ebay like brand new Cleveland ladies clubs for a fraction of the pro shop cost. There are also many of the online golf retailers who will deliver to Spain for a minimal fee eg £10 - like American Golf or Golfsupport.com .I have had golf bags delivered here from golfsupport.com with no problem. Incidentally for playing here I would recommend trying Vistabella, 10 minutes from quesada, lovely 11hole course, very reasonable prices and very friendly. Generally speaking I would also say you see a lot more women playing golf here than in UK which I like a lot.
