Blood test results procedure, Lo Marabu health centre ?
Blood test results procedure, Lo Marabu health centre ?
by Paul1000 » Mon Oct 24, 2022 11:19 am
Hi all, I´m looking for some information / advice please about the procedure for receiving results of blood tests taken at Lo Marabu health centre.
I seem to be struggling with communicating with the receptionists at Lo Marabu these days for some reason and they seem to give bare minimum answers to questions and are not explaining situations or procedures fully. My Spanish is un poco basico so I am reliant on the receptionists speaking with me in English which they do but they seem always in a hurry these days, possibly because they are so busy.
So, long story short, I had bloods taken 3 weeks ago but had not received any info on how to get the results.
Previously, I had been called by my doctor if there was a problem or just received a message on the app if there were no problems and i was able to download results from the YO SALUD app but that is no longer possible.
The newer "GVA Salut" app does not have this facility so i went to Lo Marabu this morning and asked how I could receive the results and the receptionist make me an appointment at the Rojales Centre de Emergencia health centre for this week but didnt explain why Rojales or who I would see there and didnt know if i would need a translator or not.
So... my question is, has anyone else had this experience and can anyone explain what the procedure is now and why.
Thanks for reading.

I believe you just need to make an appointment with your regular doctor to get the results. Had the same issue myself recently, waited for weeks assuming they’d contact me with results but the onus is on you to make an appointment for this.
Reception staff have occasionally been quite obnoxious lately, not sure why but totally inexcusable to be so unhelpful. Good luck

You will have to go to the surgery to get blood test results, and as you rightly say they are not easily visible on the new app.
Regarding Rojales Clinic I know of others that have been sent there as I think they are helping out due to one of the Doctors at Lo Marabu leaving/retiring. They have had no problem going there and it saved them waiting for too long to see somebody at Lo Marabu.
I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but the fact the receptionist gave you an appointment there seems to imply preventing a backlog of patients.
Good luck.

Any time you have bloods done, book an appointment for the following week with your Dr. To get the results.
