You come under social services in Rojales, the new black building behind the theatre. They do offer personal care, but I think there is a fee, and the carers are mostly Spanish. You would need an interpreter to speak to the social workers, if you don't speak Spanish, they are very caring women. Otherwise there are plenty of private care and nursing agencies who do employ British people.

Dear Family 1,

Have you contacted Help Vega Baja as suggested? I am the Welfare officer for the charity and can talk through various options with you. As one person mentioned, you can apply for the Ley de Dependencia (dependency law) here in Spain which is means-tested. Does your father received Attendance Allowance from the UK? There are various charities that maybe able to help so please pm me if you need further help or advice. Alternatively, please have a look at our FB page Help Vega Baja and our website www.helpvegabaja.com
Hope this helps!!!
