I'm assuming it's at Torrevieja hospital so go in the front door. There is, however, an ENT department at Guardamar at a place called MAP where my wife went once. However, you said Torrevieja.

You have an appointment sheet (maybe). When you enter the hospital there are machines at the end of the room where you scan the appointment sheet. It will tell you which room and which floor to go to.

If you haven't an appointment sheet to scan, simply enter the SIP card number (leaving the 0 off at the front) and you will get a slip with the room and floor to go to.

It will also have a random word (like Tigre or Limon or something) and you keep an eye on the screens and you will get "Tigre Sala 21" meaning go to room 21 or something. This is so they don't have to show your name on the monitor.

If you haven't got an appointment sheet or are unsure where to go, go to the GVA Salut website and access the Patient portal where you can check on future appointments which gives you the details of where and when.

Hi, I'm a regular at Torrevieja ENT! Once you follow the procedure Marcliff mentioned, the consulting rooms are upstairs (I think about 48 to 56). The head man there is Snr Paredes - his English is very limited, but I often see his assistants who are a bit better, and we get by. So, maybe a translator would be a good idea if it's your first time. Good luck.

I have been to the ENT department in Torrevieja hospital a few times, and it’s on the first floor, room 45 or 46…I have seen 2 different consultants and they both spoke English.

My wife has been to several departments in the hospital (ENT, Ophthalmology plus having gall bladder removed) and I have accompanied her as a translator. Never been required and was even told to keep quiet by one nurse as she was speaking to my wife (in English).

GPs are different but never required a translator at the hospital.
