flu vaccines

flu vaccines

Does anyone know what the arrangements are for flu vaccines this year.

I am waiting for my SIP to go through and plan to "go private" rather than wait for the SIP. Does anybody know of anyone that will do the vaccination privately. Thanks.

The flu campaign will start on the 5th October which is a month earlier than normal.
People were supposed to have been contacted last month but we haven't heard anything yet.

Unlike previously, where everyone turned up at 8 in the morning and waited until their name was called, this year will be by appointment only so could take a lot longer.

In previous years, the pharmacies would do the injections (which you paid for, about 14 euro ISTR) but nothing has been advertised as yet. Dr Ballasteros (by the arches) also did private vaccines but this year may be different.

Another wait and see, I think.

Good morning. Catral medical center contacted us nearly 2 weeks ago with an appt. for 8 October at 5.15pm - I’ve never known the medical center opening after 3pm. Good idea at least we know we are all there just for flu jab.

I enquired at the private clinic in Benijofar yesterday, as I am a non-resident. Expectation is that private clinics will not be supplied with the flu vaccine, only public clinics and hospitals.

We’ve been contacted by the Rojales Salud advising that the vaccinations will start in the middle of the month and that we should make an appointment
