Quiron and oncology

Quiron and oncology

Postby nigieboy » Thu Jul 20, 2023 10:00 am

Has anyone experienced this hospital for treatment? It seems very slow to organise tests, results and diagnosis and then treatment. For a private hospital there seems no urgency at all.
When with BUPA I had a back operation within days of diagnosis - literally..MRI scan,Consultant, review there and then..booked in for op within 48hrs...for such a serious diagnosis for Cancer I expected more urgency than is currently happening.

The initial tests for my husband did seem slow but once diagnosed I could not fault their treatment. You have one of the top oncologists, with loads of experience, working there. Good luck with your journey.

A friend of mine has just been diagnosed there and from what he has told me I would agree 100% with Sharon. If there were any delays at all it seemed to be more due to waiting for authorisation from the insurance company to proceed with further tests and scans etc. rather than the hospital, but even then it has been rapid. All the best!

I had brachytherapy at Quiron late last year. As you’ve said, tests etc; do seem to take a while but once these were completed, my treatment was quick and excellent. Best of luck to you going forward

I sat in reception for 2 hours waiting for my follow up appointment only to be told that although I had my appointment letter, it hadn't been put on the computer. They said I'd be sent another appointment which never came.

We were told to wait and if an Mri/Ct scan appointment had not been made within 15 days ,to phone up.As we were there on another reason..we made it ourselves at reception! Both done within 48 hours . However results for CT scan not available until late August...we challenged that too and had our results appointment with the consultant brought forward to next week..It does make you wonder
