Teleassistance

Teleassistance

Postby Ron Hill » Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:38 am

Looking for providers of teleassistance in Spain. The type where a person living alone can have an alarm worn round the neck or wrist to summon help in a medical or other emergency. I’ve looked at Angels Nursing Group and Spanish Red Cross who charge over €30,00 month for the service. May not sound much when your life is at stake but does seem rather a lot for a pensioner to pay I’ve seen the same type of service in UK for half that price

I was wanting this too & like Ron, can't really afford it. I have the app on my phone, didn't realise I could use it for this sort of emergency, but need to remember to keep my phone with me, but I can't carry anything when trying to walk in my house. I shall have to try to carry around a bag or something as my phone is too heavy to hang around my neck. Ron, let me know how you get on with it.

I got no further with it Phoenix they wanted to install a landline and charge over €30 month for the service and the Spanish Red Cross people couldn't speak English and my Spanish is limited. Don't know if your of pension age but assistance allowance from UK if your a Brit. I was recently awarded it to my surprise I think the higher rate is about £69 per week and not means tested. Help Vega Baja did most of the paperwork for me
