Try your doctor in the medical centre if you are retired and have a SIP card. Mike

As suggested, I'd try the 'High Street' pharmacy in Quesada.
It's a very simple test, as you know, I'm sure, and doesn't require any real medical skill(or much time) to administer, so any decent-sized pharmacy SHOULD be able to do it.
If you have any trouble, I'll bet the private Dr by the Arches would do it.
Just for your info, the Spanish anti-coagulant of choice is usually SINTROM rather than Warfarin, although the health professionals all know what warfain is!

you should be able to get the test at the health centre using you ehic card, but it is a pain, test at 0800 hrs then return in the afternoon for the result, if not i can do the test for you if you send me your range details by personal message, remenber to boost your level slightly before flying. Sintrom is used to describe the therapy, Warfarin is still the drug in use

sorry doris,

my wife has been self testing for about 15 years using a Coaguchek XS, machine, which is what the health centres here use. her results are entered into a computer program which we purchased prior to leaving the uk in 2002 for malta, never had any problems with her inr level.
