I did shop around. The 1st one I phoned seemed the best price on the comparison website but when I phoned the 2nd on my list, they easily outshone the 1st - by £75! - without compromising the cover, so I decided to go with them. I did say that unless they gave me a brilliant price I'd continue to shop around. It's definitely worth being honest but firm.

They are an English company backed by Lloyds of London, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The fixtures and fittings are included in their buildings cover - where many Spanish companies don't include them - and they included absolutely everything, even to £1million public liability.
