Hi Don,
**With respect the above quotes and question in this topic are the reason we are mentioning banks - Of course no-one would tell anyone to use a bank as a legal representative!!!!

Paul and I would definitely recommend Abaco. They are excellent, highly organised and efficient but extremely friendly and answer any and all questions, in perfect English. We dealt with Caroline initially and Pilar in the final stages. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was really nice, from the receptionist onwards. As we were back in England they sorted out a Power of Attorney, took us to the Notary, organised extra passport photos and we finished in no time. Two weeks after agreeing a sale they completed it without fuss.

We'd also recommend David Beck from Locknkey, who we found from this forum. He picked up our keys from Abaco, changed all the locks and met us on our next visit at our house and did a 'walk through' of our villa with us.

When we asked if he could recommend anyone to be our registered key-holder and maintenance man, he suggested Melvyn from Cleanfixngo. Melvyn and his wife provide an excellent service from cleaning the entire villa - inside and out- to buying and installing new pumps for our spa pool, buying and installing an outside shower, various new electrical items such as dishwashers, cookers, microwaves, kettles etc etc plus supplying lots of extra electrical sockets. He also supervised our internet, landline and TV package installation as well as a Sky TV man, a mosquito blind installation etc.

We would have NO hesitation whatsoever in recommending all of the above. We have come across less than honest people and therefore are very grateful for these recommendations.

Good luck to everyone thinking of buying in Quesada or surrounding areas. It's wonderful and we can't wait till we're over more often.

Thank you. It's so good to know that the forum has been helpful and to get feedback on some of the recommendations. I will make a note of your re-recommendations and put them in our Tradesman list if they are not on there already.

Hi

I am in the process of using Filomena/Pilar for my purchase. Im over on Wednesday this week to finalise everything and get my keys. Ive been very happy with them. Filomena doesn't speak much english so Pilar does all the corresponding. I have other friends who have used her also and recommended them to me, her email address is [email protected], tel 96/6718830, website: www.filomenaabogados.com, address: Calle Azul No. 11, Ciudad Quesada, 03170 Rojales. Nice and local too. Good luck x
