With cruises you can sometimes get the insurance included depending on the company . We went with saga and they included the insurance with hardly any questions asked.

Our cruise company (P&O) wouldn't allow us travel insurance as we are not UK based. In fact, we had to give my daughter's address just to book the cruise let alone the insurance.

We have gone with Globelink as they cover a lot of things that you don't have to declare like high BP for example.
Not exactly cheap at just over 200 quid (to include extra cancellation costs) but for 2 seventy plus it wasn't too bad.
Other companies wouldn't give insurance to expats and you had to be based in UK. This covers us for 16 days from the day we leave Spain until we come back in the New Year.

We have just got an annual multi trip expat Travel insurance with

www. Staysure.co.uk.
We paid £200 but it was quite comprehensive.
Also because I got an on line quote, 2 days later they sent me a 15% off discount ( which I used).
Happy in the sun.

My husband has a heart condition and high BP and we found travel insurance very expensive. We cruised last year and ended up with travel insurance from Mapfre (office near to Consum) They don't ask medical questions much more competitively priced.

We're a couple of sixty-odd-year-olds from South Manchester who live in Saudi Arabia and have been fully fledged expats for almost forty years. (Planning to retire to Quesada one day hence my occasional blarts on this forum). We frequently travel to the UK and Europe and take cruise and package holidays out of the UK. We have Annual travel insurance with a UK outfit called The Expatriate Group. £270 a year for the two of us (not each), multiple trips throughout Europe including cruises. Pre-existing stuff isn't covered such as type 2 diabetes, mild BP, etc. but I wouldn't expect it to be. I thought it was a good deal when compared to arranging travel insurance for each trip. I can't say how good they are because I've never made a claim (and don't want to any time soon) but its insurance, right? BB

My parents have used Staysure for the past few years, going on cruises and it's included, Hardly any questions asked. They are 83 and 85 and the price was very good. £238 for the pair.
