Foreign buyers property statistics from Abaco Advisers

Foreign buyers property statistics from Abaco Advisers

Postby Jan » Tue Aug 27, 2013 9:38 am

I saw this article in our recent fiscal representatives magazine and thought it was interesting. It's the statistics for Spain showing the origin & numbers of foreigners who bought property in Spain in 2012.
Most of us couldn't have failed to notice that there are more people moving into Quesada and the surroundings from France, Russia, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, The Netherlands and even the German's are trickling back too, which has got to be a good sign that the economy is picking up a bit compared to the last 5 years or so.
It appears from the statistics that people are still not buying at the rate they were in 2007, we don't really need statistics to tell us that :), but with the bargain prices of property these days it's definitely a brilliant buyers market.

That's good news,
Wow i was amazed by the fact that Americans also buy houses in Spain, you would think they want to buy a home in Miami or something like that.

Who would want Miami when they can have the beauty of Spain! ;)

Seriously though, I was surprised too but would imagine that the American's love the traditions of Spain and the traditionally quaint Spanish villages.
