Paramount Theme Park - Murcia

News and information on the proposed Theme Park by Paramount. Apparently the plan for the Paramount theme park in Murcia was unveiled at an official function last week (March 2012) There is an expected opening date of 2015.

Copied from the website below - "Over the last few years much has been written about the possibility of a major theme park in the Murcia region and now it seems that is a reality. Latest news is that the Theme Park will be built on land North West of Cartagena only 25 miles from San Javier Airport".

San Javier airport will be closed to commercial passengers when Paramount Theme Park opens and will have to travel to and from Corvera Airport wich is half an hour away from San Javier.

I wonder if the Theme park will ever materialise, going by Spain's reputation for planning & promising things that don't happen.

It's strange they still mention San Javier airport in this 'latest' news! It will be interesting to see how far the new airport will be from the proposed theme park site.

I heard that there was a small earthquake which cracked the runway there.

I'm sure if the brown envelope is big enough it will be built. Maybe we will get our Natural Park before I'm 70
