Eventually found you!

Eventually found you!

Postby Alisongrahame » Tue Oct 30, 2012 12:05 am

Hello there. Grahame and I were members on the old yahoo forum, but kept forgetting the password and then I discovered the group had moved. Better late than never :D.
We have a property in lo marabu, and its only used by us for holidays. As of Aug 2013 I retire and intend to spend more time in Spain. Will be driving over for the first time taking the boat to Bilbao, so excited to bring our 2 small dogs with us for the first time.
Have been viewing the forum as a guest, its great to see its just as informative as it was before.

Hello Alison, :text-welcomewave: Welcome to TalkQuesada. I did try to email all the old members of the Yahoo site when we started this one but that was last year.

Glad you found us and good to see you are still enjoying your house. We are also retired now and spend at least 3 months of the year in Spain. It was so good to not have to book just 2 weeks or less each time.

Let us know how the trip by car goes, we keep saying we will do it one day.

Hope you enjoy the forum and find it helpful and interesting.

Jan.

I know Dot. Where is everyone? Maybe it's as cold in Quesada as it is in the UK and everyone is hibernating! I'm very busy plastering walls and decorating at home at the moment - maybe others are busy like me too. :text-lol: ;)

Yes, it takes a while to adapt, doesn't it Glyn - All those jobs to catch up on at home or going to work for those who still do. I haven't even unpacked our Spain suitcases yet (not that we take or bring back that much) as we went to the Lake District for a holiday within a few days of returning home, to make the most of the 'not so cold' weather before the winter came blasting in. Now it's time to get on with all those jobs that get delayed by our Spanish sojourns.

From the statistics of the forum, even when it appears quiet, we do get quite a few 'guests' each day, so the site must be generating interest, which is good, even if they don't all join up & post.

Hello. We are now in Russia and we have snow. In December we are going to return to Spain to paint and plaster the House we just bought. Maybe someone knows a good master or a repair company here in Rojales?

If anyone is near the Mini Golf. Can you ask Rik for Steve Goldtooth's contact number. He's the best builder in the area.
