I'm another fan of "QF&CS", excellent value, and you can have a pint while you wait chaps (I actually go to the shop, have a couple of pints and then phone my order on my mobi, and tell the wife there was a queue!!! ). Having said that, I have also had some very nice food from the chip-shop up near the "Sportsman" bar and "Canales" Supermercado......Calle Azul, below "Harry's Bar"
"Supermercado Canales" do sell very good meat, but beware, the cuts are different--particularly on beef---so don't think you're getting "fillet steak" for €8 per kilo. They speak good English, are helpful and will give the true information if you ask the correct question. They also have "offers" every Saturday, some of which are good, and you can pick up British-Brand-Names at good prices

A new bar (Bar El Torro) near Consum opened last Friday, and seems to be doing well.. Sells "John Smiths", "Strongbow" and "Heiniken" on draught. Nice Breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --currently €3.95... Good competition for those locally who think they can do what they want and treat their custom like cannon-fodder (not refering to local Spanish bars). Steve who runs it is a nice guy and needs any support the Brits (and others) will give him.

I'm knackered....it's been about 23° today, so off for a swifter

Ryanair allow 20kg with a reasonable extra charge when booking and as others say 10kg hand luggage.

They don´t have the best reputation but the rules are laid out and not unreasonable, it´s only people that don´t seem to get this that have the problems. now if only they would smile occasionally :-)

jet2.com are very very good and have 22kg luggage allowance with up to 3 x 22kg bags per person (at reasonable costs) but think they only service the north of UK?

HTH,

Tim.
